Get Started

Where Do I Start?
Welcome and thank you for your interest! You can easily contact Megan with any questions or, if you’re ready to get started, please fill out the intake paperwork and contact your physician to obtain a prescription for occupational therapy and release form for the use of equine movement in hippotherpay or adaptive riding.
What Will I Need?
For all occupational therapy intervention, with or without a horse, a physician prescription for occupational therapy evaluation and treatment is required. For client’s wishing to incorporate equine movement into occupational therapy treatment (hippotherapy) or participate in adaptive riding lessons, a physician release is required to insure there are not any contraindications for equine movement. Once a script and intake paperwork is received, an evaluation may be scheduled.
For all sessions occurring in the barn closed toe shoes with a heel, such as tennis shoes, must be worn. Most clients find long pants more comfortable, although this is not required. For equine movement / hippotherapy or riding sessions clients must wear an ASTM / SEI certified horseback riding helmet. Helmets are available for use onsite or may wish to be purchased through a retailer.
