Meet the Therapist

Meet Megan
Megan is a licensed occupational therapist with over 17 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy. She has extensive additional training in a large variety of pediatric treatment strategies. Megan is a certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist (HPCS) and holds a certification in Sensory Integration (SIPT certification) through Western Psychological Services. She has completed additional training in neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) for individuals with neuromuscular disorders, such as cerebral palsy. She has also completed the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) training for children with sensory based feeding disorders and has completed several courses on the DIR / Floortime model for children on the autism spectrum. Megan’s undergraduate background in kinesiology and movement science also provides an understanding of body systems, exercise, and biomechanics that contributes to clinical reasoning in those with movement-based challenges.
A lifelong equestrienne, Megan also has over 30 years of experience working with horses and became a certified therapeutic riding instructor (CTRI) through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International, in 2003. She completed training through the American Hippotherapy Association and passed the board exam to become a Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist (HPCS) in 2014.
When she’s not at work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, baking, and exploring the outdoors.
